Season 3 of CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 premieres tonight, and the series will pick up right where it left off last season.
The last 10 minutes of Season 2 left a cliffhanger for each team member:
- Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) discovered that the elusive character Shelbourne actually is his long-presumed-dead mother.
- His sidekick Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan) embarked on a child-custody battle after his ex-wife proposed moving their daughter, Grace (Teilor Grubbs), to Las Vegas.
- Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) faced a Sophie’s Choice: Save his wife, Malia (Reiko Aylesworth), or his cousin/partner Kono (Grace Park). He raced home to find Malia sprawled on the floor, bleeding but alive.
- Kono was last seen, bound and gagged, being dumped into the ocean. It will be interesting to see how she survives.
Returning guest stars this season include Michelle Borth – who becomes a series regular as McGarrett’s girlfriend, Navy Lt. Catherine Rollins – and the legendary Ed Asner, who made a big splash last season reprising a character he played on the original Hawaii Five-0 back in 1975. Christine Lahti (Law & Order: SVU and Chicago Hope) joins the cast to play Mama McGarrett.
And trailers for the season premiere include returning bad guys Frank Delano (William Baldwin) and Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos).
Notes
- Folks in Honolulu got an early peek at the season premiere last night on Waikiki Beach with actors O’Loughlin, Kim, Borth, Masi Oka (Dr. Max Bergman) and Taylor Wily (Kamekona), as well as the mayor and governor.
