Supernatural: Season 8 Stuff

The extravaganza of Comic-Con 2012 has come and gone (and another year goes by that I didn’t get to go). As usual, there are a plethora of video clips and pics and news items and spoilers and the like to keep us fans going through the summer. This year Warner Bros. even set  up a page with video of full panel sessions, which I thought was quite nice of them. Here’s a few tidbits from Jared, Jensen, Jeremy and my sweet little angel, Misha (YAY!).

Sigh. Those two are so… photogenic.

Ahem.

Anyhoo.   This is the  ComicCon panel that WB put up for us. It has commercials (of course) and I am sure you can find the whole damn thing on You Tube, but it is nice and clear and I always like watching the cast and writers goof off together. As is usual, they are very shady about details, but it seems as though the new showrunner, Jeremy Carver(!!) understood what was going wrong with she show, and seems to have a good idea of where he wants to take it. I like what I heard. Also, it looks like Ben Edlund is back full time, which is ALWAYS good news to this fan.

Jensen talks a little about where Dean is going this season during the press interviews. He is lovely, as always, even when the reporters video cuts off mid-interview.

Jared talks first off talks about his baby during the press interviews (awww), and seems very excited about Sam losing a chunk of his angst this season. There is also a quick cameo at the end by Mark A. Shepard!

All in all, and I am a huge spoilerphobe, it seems like everyone is excited about the new season. Sammy gets a love interest (I’m taking bets on how long before she dies), we will have Castiel, Crowley, probably Bobby and the whole gang will be off on some new, fun adventures. I particularly liked Jeremy saying that the brothers will be tighter than ever (or at least that’s how I interpreted it), because those two are the reason I have stuck around so long.

Don’t forget! The CW is starting their season late this year, waiting until October to get things rolling, but they have pulled Supernatural out of the Friday death slot and we can enjoy those beautiful brothers on Wednesdays this fall. YAY!
